I just finished reading about Leonardo DiCaprio’s new digs in New York City. This movie star is totally into the eco-green life. He purchased a state-of-the-art green condo. The place is called Riverhouse. I love that name.
The condo overlooks the Hudson River, and check out these eco-features: a fresh filtered air system, low-emission paints and finishes, an in-house water treatment facility, and rotating solar panels. The building also has a bike storage area, suitable for DiCaprio, who reportedly is seen riding about in New York’s downtown with his girlfriend Bar Rafaeli.
Now I am thinking that if everyone could lived like this, the environment would be better off. But isn’t it expensive. Is it something only a celebrity like DiCaprio can afford? What do you think the cost of something like this might be?

It’s actually not particularly expensive — Prices start under $1,000,000 for a 1 bedroom and go to $4,700,000 for a 4 bedroom unit. This is no more expensive than any “non-green” building in Battery Park City
Thanks for the information. That is very interesting.
