The big box store best known for its simple and affordable home decor and “Swedish for common sense” slogan is going solar just in time for summer. This year, light up the warm nights with an array of stylish solar-charged outdoor lighting systems. Each light is powered by a rechargeable battery which stores up the energy it’s gleaned from the sun all day. When the sun goes down, each light switches to an LED. The LEDs consume 70% less energy and last four times longer than incandescent bulbs, and the use of batteries eliminates unsightly electrical cords winding through your terrace or walkway.
